Shared Memories builds on my work with vernacular photography, particularly focusing on family albums, both mine and those of strangers. From the moment I realized that all the photos depicting moments of my life are not fundamentally different from those of others, a quest into collective memory began. This project is divided into two distinct but interconnected parts: Remediation of slides of strangers' memories: A collection of 10 NFTs representing a digital reworking of found slides belonging to strangers. These images, recovered and reimagined, give new life to forgotten memories, transforming them into digital art that explores the universality of human experiences. AI model for generating family album photos: An artificial intelligence model trained to generate family album photos based on a simple prompt including the year, situation, and subjects. This tool allows the creation of new images that appear to come from old family albums, exploring how technology can replicate and reinvent our visual memories.
